Le Proffessionel (Le Pro) tips are popular among billiards players and cue makers. They are manufactured by the American company Tweeten Fibre Co. The name “Le Pro” pays homage to François Mingaud, the inventor of the leather tip, and is a nod to the French game of carom billiards. These tips are made from environmentally treated natural leather, with chemical bonds that make them flexible, durable, and long-lasting. They rate nearly as hard as skateboard wheels on the Shore scale. Le Pro tips hold chalk well and are easily distinguishable from counterfeits.
